...was taking my mums car to the bodyshop today and got pulled over for doing 35 in a 30, I was literally taking it around the corner and im not insured on it (I dont need a lecture I no I was in the wrong, just advice), put me in the van and explained I will be just getting an eye opener on the speeding and I wont be getting points or fine etc, anyway in the van he said he was going to do a vehicle check and a person check, then a car flies past about 40+ and he dives out to sort him out, another plod comes over and says that he'll take over from there, he must of assumed the other one had done the checks, but he hadnt, he filled out a "stop" form (Not a producer or speeding fine) and sent me on my way. Am I going to get caught for no insurance? Never done it before was merely helping my mum out, if I get banned/points il lose my job so shitting it

Whats the likelyhood of anymore happening? He also wrote the wrong reg plate on the stop form, its KJF and hes wrote JKF so surely they now cant do a vehicle check back at the station?

They can still do something about it but I would guess it is unlikely. Particularly as neither of them will suspect of you of having no insurance unless they read it on here.

Doesn't matter if the reg is wrong on that form, that isn't the one that goes to court. Still think you're lucky though.

Thats why I didnt want to rely on it, I knew there was more to it. I know I couldnt believe it when he got out the car and the other one took over and didnt do the checks, he asked me was it my car I said no its my mums and asked was I insured and I just said yeh so as you say they have no real reason to suspect anything or he wouldnt of just let me drive off again. I wont be playing the lottery for a while, or taking any chances, I think ive used all my luck for the next few years! Im just hoping now, its horrible having it hanging over me though
