Back in April I had an email from my insurance company saying 'Thankyou for renewing your insurance' I though it was a bit strange as 1 I normally sort out insurance in june/july time which is when the payment to them went out last year and 2 because I hadnt been asked or instructed them to renew it.
I forgot about the email because I figured it was a mistake. I've started looking for insurance for this year now and logged onto the companies site to see what the status of my current insurance was, there I found a whole new set of documents for a new year including an insurance certificate with a new expirary date of April 09.
So my insurance has been renewed with them for another year without them asking me, the even stranger thing is that no money has left my account.
Where do you think I stand? Make sure I keep a copy of the new documents and keep quiet? or Should I say something?

They'll take money soon enough using the payment you used before. If not, they'll ask you for new payemtn

Can they renew your insurance with them without asking you? The normal thing is that you shop around everyyear to get better prices so seemed strange that they did that to start with

i know rac will renew insruance automatically unless you cancel it with them. i was warned of this though

They usually send you a letter saying if they don't hear from you, your Insurance will renew automaticall and payment method will carry on as per the previous year.
