As a Web/Graphic Design Company, we have recieved the following inquiries over the last week:
"Hi there, do you do flower arranging?"
"Good morning, do you sell Epson printer ribbons?
And just now...
"Hi there, do you rent sand bikes?"

Anyone else get phone calls completely unrelated to their line of work?

The last place I worked had a phone number that was very similar to some airline company (forget the name of it now - nothing major like BA)
Anyway, we used to get calls from people with complaints, cancellations and upgrade queries etc. Normally for the polite ones, we put them through to "the correct department" i.e. whoever in the office we wanted to piss off for the day. But one or two got real shitty on the phone from the start, and we dealt with their complaint or upgrade by offering a "free upgrate to 1st class" etc... basically just freewheel the call to make them think that it was sorted and dealt with Just a shame we never got to see the result of our childish games

i used to be a supervisor for a 24 hour call centre, the amount of prank calls were unreal, i loved them though, they were the highlight of my nightshifts.
One that comes to mind was a guy who rang in on Elephant Rescue, said he was on teh M25 and a cement truck had shed it load in front of him, asked him how much cement was on his car, he said it was encased and asked if i could come out with a chisel and hammer
another line i answered was WH assist, i got a man saying in a very husky tone saying 'i'm masturbating down the phone at you' asked what assistance i could be

I get asked for the menswear/ladieswear/makeup dept.
One of the work lines is one digit different to the number of House of frasier round the corner.

Could just take payment and not send anything on. Morally wrong and possibly seen as theft but hey, its some extra cash
