Heard about this... what actually happened? I got told he clipped the other bike, but the video looks like there was no contact.
I missed this weekend racing as I was at Mallory Park for the UK leg of the FIM MX1 championships

Weaving attempt to stop someone entering slipstream resulted in bikes touching and applying Barbera's front brake, on full lock at about 160 mph

Yeah, the guy behind went into the back of the guy in front slightly which put the brakes on. Locked up the front wheel and over we go!

i see what happened now, because there didnt look like much contact. The back end of the front guys bike goes into Barbera's break lever squeezing it fully and obviously sending him arse over tit lol

I'd guess he's pretty shaken up, dizzy from all the tumbling, and gutted he's just retired from the race on the 2nd to last lap. Not to mention that that fat bloke's gonna eat his ass

Don't think there was anything malicious by Simoncelli, the 125 and 250 boys regularly weave to shake people from the slipstream, just a racing incident I guess? 
Good race though, Italians won in each class
