Whats the realistic costs of owning a car like a 2.0 turbo wrx or an Evo 4
Looking at todays petrol prices im thinking it would cost a hell of a lot as an every day driver?
Also servicing/repair costs?
And insurance, what they like for drivers aged 20 3ync??
I ask because you can pick a nice enough one of both up for under 5k possibly even under 4.
Any thoughts?

Funny you should ask that, one of my friends bought an Evo IV about 3 weeks ago and is now admitting he may not be able to keep it.
Around 200 miles to £50 ish in petrol I think...

dave might be getting rid of his because its cost to much to run (2.0t wrx, 270bhp) so im guessing alot and it cost's 200 i think for a service which is every 5000 miles but don't quite me on it lol

Evo's are more expensive to run than Subaru's. A standard WRX will see 30mpg when taking it easy, but that figure will rapidly drop when giving it sport Service/repair costs are a sore one though

Scoobs sound like the cheaper option then but they are a lot more common and not sure if theyd be as fun to drive as an evo
Realistically I think I could afford the petrol, its just insurance and servicing that would kill me i think.
Its just for my next car im going to proberly spend about 3-4k and would most likly get a vts/gti so im thinking for a bit more cash i could have a car 10x as good.

I was just 20 with 2y NCB and my insurance was £1800 FC on my uk impreza (grp 17 insurance - imports are 20) all mods declared
To a full tank expect about 200 ISH miles, dependant on driving
would never use it as an everyday car, as i can walk to work. then theres mods you want so add that on top, servicing, well regular service intervals of course but i got mine on 47k, and the next on isnt due till 53k...cars still sat in the garage at 49k and i doubt il cover 3k miles in it this summer..
expensive fun, but so worth it

that's not bad at all, guess it's all down to the mod's though which aren't exactly insurance friendly when you're 20
