Me and my gf of over 2 years broke up at the start of last year, then the next month i saw my mate from work with her in the pub locking lips.
Was a bit annoyed that night and I said to him that's not the way to go about things, but since then I couldn't actually give a toss, I realised that there's better out there and I can do better and now I'm with a bloody gorgeous girl and laugh to myself when I see them together

Hmm sounds familiar
Ended up not speaking to either of them, let them get on with it and continue your life.

I invited my ex out to Australia while I was there in 2003. We'd been bust up about a year. Her and my mate hit it off. I was furious at the time, took time to chill out.
They are still together, have a house and gorgeous baby, my mate is now my best mate ever and my ex and I are really great mates. I'm totally happy that my friends are having such a good life.
Simple fact, life's too short to hold grudges, get on with it.

I guess nearly 99% of humanity is someones 'Ex' If everyone was unhappy about the fact that they were 'exs' the world would be miserable regardless of who is with who and what unwritten rules there are.

One of my best mates is with the girl I lost my virginity to (and was with for about 6 months). They have been together for about 6 years and it doesn't bother me in the slightest, I love them more as a couple but that was about 2 years after we split and I didn't 'love' her

read the post not the comments.
Now i have two views on this. About two years ago my mate treat this girl like shite for about 3 years, really nice lass and good looking. Obviously when they used to come into put or out and i was there we would all chat together. I got along very well with both, sometimes she would come down to meet him and turn up hours late so id just sit and chat (in no way flirty at all) then a few month later they split up, i had just started seeing a lass who coinsidently i split up with yesterday . She told me she had feelings for me and I said i do for her too, but its abot awkward. Anyhow that was that, a month later had a massive bust up with my mate(her ex) fight kicked off and he never spoke to me again. Even after this as much as even now i still think me and her would be a good couple , I dont phone or text her .
Its rule number 1, never go with mates current or ex birds.
in all fairness i used to be like fuck everybody, but untill you have cared about a girl and know that if the shoe was on the other foot would hurt so much it makes you think twice.
personally id never speak again, it will rip you apart when you see them both out but keep smiling and laughing it will piss them both off .
Find someone else matey and in 6 months youll realise that it was a blessing
