i just got a gsi spoiler 2day and im gna have a go at sprayin it maself is it best to use a plastic primer or will i get away with normal primer cheers

Is the spoiler already painted? If it's already in paint and just needs a colour change then you'd get away with keying the original paint and spraying over that. If the spoiler needs areas repairing like cracks or deep chips then spraying it in primer is advisable.
Personally I'd use plastic primer as it'll stand up to any flexing the spoiler may do.

its in primer but they havent done that good a job so i was gna rub it down and start again thats what i thort i think il use the plastic primer cheers mate

You using rattle cans or 2k? If you want a good finish you're best off taking the spoiler right back and starting fresh, You're bound to get a better finish then.

If its in primer you could just rub it down with 1200 grit to get it nice a smooth to save you repriming it. or has it got bad runs etc?

its a bit rough and patchy plus the primers flaking in places
