If that is true what he apparently said, then I'm seriously disturbed. This country has already hit rock bottom IMO - We've been a dustbin for the rest of europe and africa for long enough coupled with incomptent police and government things don't look good for the future do they?

personally think that people who carry knifes should get 7 years if caught and then life if they kill or even stab someone!!
problem is thats its no big deal if they get sent to jail, its a probably a fuckin holiday for them in this country, they get tvs in jail, food , drugs sneaked in!!
its just not punishment imo, they should be locked ina cell with 4 walls no windows and fed shit!! then maybe they will think twice!!

nik, i dont really think its fair to call police incompetent, they do the best they can with the resources they have. they need more power though, and we need to bring back the death sentence IMO. i know it wont stop people being murdered all together, but will stop some hopefully, and they wont re offend for sure. i'd bring it back for all murderers/rapists. but what do i know

they ditched the death sentance because some innocent, or 'which turned out to be innocent' guy got hanged.
imho with todays technologies etc, this is far likely to not happen.
