Asking for a friend, I suggested a 1.6 Sport corsa to him, but he doesnt want a vauxhall

Oh yeah, hes one of these "No car unless its a 3 door" folk, so that reduces choice a bit

I was looking at the prices off corsas on pistonheads the other day, was planning on getting another as a every day car. But not after the prices iv seen them at! They havent came down at all since i had them 2 or 3 years ago now, and all high mileage, boy raced with no service history.

Id say get something like a mk2 golf gti.

How about a Civic?

That or a mk2 Golf, old style Swift's can mod well, or Fiesta mk4/5.

I'd still do it tbh. All the wee things never cost over £100, Cheap parts from the net and scrappy's etc.

I paid £1k for my red 1.6 Sport and insured it for about 1200.
