Going to be collecting 20 litrres of used fitlered vegetable oil tonight and start running my Vento TDI (1.9 90bhp) car on it.

400 miles a week at 60p a litre- should start seeing the saving!

Going for 50/50 mix of it with diesel to start off!

Guy in work does this with his mk4 golf! Good luck, he spends absolutely bugger all on fuel, something like 30/40pence a litre!

50/50 is perfect mate, make sure it has been filtered/cleaned properly. A friend tried running his fiesta diesel on the stuff and stopped running due to dirty oil

put in 15 litres diesel and 10 litres Used veg oil. Done around 60 miles so far!

Theres a limit on hour much you can use per year tax free. Howevere the limit is enough to allow you to do 22,000+ easy!

There is an allowance of 'x' amount of litres which doesn't have to be declared. So as long as you stay under that by paying cash, who's gonna know!

dad did it in his old bedford mini for ages without declaring it, was about 3/4 years ago now though so the police/dvla weren't really up to scratch on it. Very easy way to save a bit of money. When i get my van i'll hopefully be running it on this
