My sister is having a baby in July and she has been looking for a baby seat and pram/stroller that would fit into a corsa boot. she has a Corsa D.

Any names of prams and stuff would be greatly appreciated

Cheers guys and girls

most of the mutsy ranges are small enough to go in the boot mate they fold up tiny.

car seats are a bit difficult in most vauxhalls unless it has isofix connectors, if it doesnt then it will be a britax seat, normally the first class Si

I struggle with a pram in my B, but we have twin prams. Can get one in, but have to remove the parcel shelf. Also a bitch to get two seats in the back of a 3dr...need 2 more doors!

If you go to a decent pram/baby shop they should let you try them in the boot for size if you narrow down your choices to a few. As for baby seats, think both of mine are Graco (sp?). Really sturdy and fit well.

Try the quinny as it folds small and uses a graco car seat, or the loola wich is by bebe comfort and can clip car seat to the chassis easily. Our loola is under 10kg and folds nice n small.

Edited to add. If you live near a very large Halfords, some of them sell prams as well as car seats. go and try then buy from cheapest place. We are local to Kiddicare in Peterborough so use them as they will fit them and let you try loads out, and their fitters know what they are doing. Well worth a roadtrip in my opinion.

when we had the corsa vxr, i had the bugaboo camelion and maxi cosi cabrio car seat. you can get adapters to put the car seat on the pram.

the pram comfortably went in the boot with room for some shopping etc

We've had almost every pram going! lol (Jason didn't want to shell out for the one I wanted so I went a bit mad on ebay - Max had 22 prams! I even made a profit on a few of them)lol

If you sister wants to put shopping in the boot as well as the pram she will need either a Quinny Zapp with car seat (can only put baby in the pram without car seat once he/she is 6 months old) or a chicco CT.01 type pushchair. They are suitable from birth and car seat fits to it too. A Mamas & Papas pliko will fit but I found them bulkier than the Chicco an not as strong (we ended up with 2 plikos and managed to make one good chassis from the 2).

If she is getting a car seat to stay in the car (Like the Brittax club class there are tons of prams.....

All of the Chicco ones will fit. My CT.04 fits (as the front wheels pop off), I've even had a Quinny 4 wheeler in our Corsa B - no room for shopping though.

Does your sister walk a lot? If she does a lot of walking I'd reccomend a Graco. They fit in the boot (We managed to get a Graco Quattro in the Corsa but nothing else with it) and they are build to last forever. or a Chicco, or the bigger Quinny's.

If she drives more and wants to put shopping in the car too she will need something smaller. I loved my Quinny Zapp but wouldn't have wanted to walk very far with it.

I can't comment on Loola prams as the little fella started walking out and about before I bought him one lol

they dont have to use the isofix they fit using the seat belt, you can buy isofix bases for them though.

since my daughter was born 5 1/2 months ago we have had 15 prams 2 car seats had 3 quinnys the buzz zapp and cant remember the name of them and we have a clio and a astra we had a maxi cosi car seat and a recaro one both fit those isofix bases the zapp and buzz were the best for putting in the car as you can just use the car seat straight on to the pram itself so meant you still had loads of room for other stuff in theboot only problem is when they get bigger they you cant use the seat any more we are using a p3 now which is bigger but still gives us plenty of room in the boot for shopping you can get round that buy just getting a stroller that lies back for when they a about 6 months they are not to big or bulky and leave lots of room
