Mines a standard 130. was on the motorway in traffic I was behind, every time we got a break in the traffic he'd pull a few car lengths in front then evening up without either gaining then had to break again.

I like mine, its cheap to run & quick-ish, I think id be going mad in say a 1.2/1.4 petrol car.

I'd be straight back to diesel if I was doing the miles.

172 is like a bag of nuts and bolts.

i'd be happy with 130-150bhp diesel in a similiar sized car to a 306 or golf, preferably a 306 for the odd spirited drive, although prefer a well styled mk4 golf for other stuff. Must be a sign of getting old.

Yes your right but the golf has a decent engines. Them Pug engines are so underpowerd!

And i know that 1.4 sports are quick than 306 dturbo! So scrap the eqaul slow comments. If he isnt doing my miles ditch it!

And diesels do make you feel alot quicker than you are going. Its the harsh power delivery! Really winds me up because you think (when out with few derv friends) 'bloody hell nothing will pull away from this'.

(05 Corsa sri cdti)

Then you have a race (40 onwards) so ideal for a derv on the move....and it couldnt pull from a 1.6 16v astra G with silly wheels Yet you go in the astra and think this is slow, go in the derv and you think this is quick! Its just the power delivery!

needs a bosch pump which it is unlikely to have with it being a phase 2. Usually they are on the older ones.
