Yeah just sit there and do nothing, great idea! You are obviously so rich, you must be Simon Cowell.

Protesting against the wrong people though, its the goverments fault for the high petrol prices not the petrol companys.

and blockadeing bp and esso is just pointless.

I'm sorry but the government have always taken a load of Tax from a litre of fuel. It is OPEC that have continually made the cost of oil rise on a weekly basis. I'm not excusing the government but it really does need to be a two pronged attack at both OPEC ie the oil companies anf the government.

People on here just tell it how it is, of course it would be nice if we could boycot Esso for a week or so & the price would drop like teenagers in bridgend....but that will never happen. Everyone with half a brain knows this & doesnt pass on that pointless email!!

Its not the oil companies fault, oil explorations getting more expensive, theres been alot of trouble in the world of oil extraction & refinement in the past year & it pushes the price skywards. I dont mind the oil companies putting forecourt prices up a penny or 3 (its in my interests working for them to see them make a nice profit), its the 70% ontop of that the government leaches suck out my wallet that makes me mad. Theres no reason it should happen, but it does & were all too pussy to stand up for ourselves.

The reason the price has gone up is because all of whats going on in the middle east, where most of the oil we use comes from.not so they can make more profits.

Exactly, also Texas refinery fires, Gulf of mexico shut down with hurricanes, trouble in middle east, iraq, constant nigerian pipeline sabotage but to name a few in the last year.

These companies need to make big profits, in order to operate, its not a small operation. Oil extraction costs billions every year, they need a sizable sum back in order to secure continious operations. It costs them several million just to survey & open a well which might be a total loss if it doesnt produce anything. Big big industry.

Its the government that penny pinches!!

Other taxes
People will always complain about how americans pay so much less for fuel. If we went the same way as them then we'd lose the NHS and have to adopt the shocking health system they have

In all fairness - i'd rather them scrap the NHS, save us tax money, then i'd pay to go private and all the fucking immigrants and dodgers can be left to rot.
