ok drilled the side of the airbox the side of the drivers wing and theres a pipercross panel filter int here its a 2001 sri corsa c im not getting much of a not from it like the old 16v engines is there a reaon for this?

Basically he's drilled the airbox and fitted a pipercross panel, and its not loud enough for him.

yeh uw ont get much from a drilled airbox and panel filter, it just makes for a better airflow. induction kits are the noise makers tbh

the drilled airbox and panel filter work good on the old 16v engines like the sports etc but doesnt seem to be the case on the newer 16v engines ie 2001 onwards

remove the internall pippes and any other shit that restricts it my 1.2 has a nise induction noise at 3.5k to 4k.

how big are the holes youve butchered into the box?

the bigger the holes, the deeper noise youl get, if youve done lots of tiny holes. it will sorta just whistle and sound like an 8v

its got a irmscher backbox mate sounds good that way, just not getting the throaty roar you get from the old 1400s and 1600s from the front end

you wont

best roar youl get is if you drilled holes with like a 20mm drill bit, little ones are no good
