Long story short... a friend of my GF was in a car that cut up a motorbiker on a roundabout. Biker came off pretty bad and both vehicles are wrecked. Car driver's fault. Driver signaled and the road was bone dry.

Whats the absolute worst and best punishment the car driver would get?

Take stuff like dangerous driving, careless driving etc into account.

I was thinking somethig like a hefty fine and 6 points and then the insurance claims.

Causing injury by careless/reckless driving. Driving without due care and attention. etc etc really Pete.
