My mums Nissan X-trails diesel pump has just went tits up and she needs a new one ASAP

Shes been given a quote of £1k for a new one from Nissan which is a fookin rip off imo

Its a 2003 model 2.2DCi 6 speed

Does anyone know where we can buy one cheaper???

Preferably new but as long as it has a warranty then that should be fine.

I've searched on the net but come up with nothing

Cheers peeps

Thats probably not a bad price, its not usually a cheap job on any cars and most modern ones are programmed to the car.

I can't help you from here mate but that nissan is notorious for killing diesel pumps and turbos. Diesel pumps are big bucks so 1k is normal.

Renault quoted my friend €1200 (~£800) for the 1.9 pump.

Send a complaint to Nissan big eck. I read some quick reviews that they gave a free turbo to some guy after 2 pumps got replaced (outside warranty). He paid only for labour.

Common rail diesel pumps seem to all be expensive. Most probably because now they need to pump the fuel at high pressure.

Good old isuzu 1.5td .. tractors but solid
