and he was following a stolen car before he tried to pull it and the fella doing the running comentary is on a massive old fashioned house phone, giving directions of where hes going. Then the voice over fella says - along these lines - "back-up needs to arrive quickly as they may have been spotted"
If someone was on a phone that big behind me im sure i'd notice an all whether I was being paranoid or not, surely the undercover cars could be fitted with something a little more inconspicuous? Anyone know why there not? Just seems mad

Fuck trying to hold a wee fucking Samsung D600 and talk to the person on the phone with exact directions etc when the prick in the seat beside you is kicking fuck out of a BMW 530d , skelping it round roundabouts chasing some wee sack in a stolen sierra.

Yeh, I understand that part, but it doesnt matter then because theyve already been seen/are giving chase, what I meant is when they are trying to not be spotted, surely he could use a handsfree or something, soon as he picked the blower up he gave it away and the car got off.

AHHHHHHHHHH, Sorry i get you now.
Good point actually, My only guess could be is its for when the car does take off, Its easier to handle the bigger fone as to fiddle about with handsfree or a smaller handset but your point still stands about the pre-chase part.

you can clamp them under your chin pretty easily as well, thus allowing you to touch yourself, eat a doughnut, and give commentary at the same time.
