The first (I think) Ford show of the season, weather was terrible, so bad that the strip was closed until about 1pm due to the dampness, then when it was open, no-one really managed a decent time.

It was REALLY busy though, regardless of the weather, the strip being shut meant people were walking around instead of sitting in the grandstands.

These are the pics towards the end of the day which I took, they're all of our stand as I didn't get the chance to walk around

Left to right -

A customer's Focus RS with Gotech MFI Pro, GT28/71R turbo, ST170 head, amongst other things, should be seeing around 400bhp

Stuart Collins' S2 RST runabout () (jr will know who he is), running Gotech Mini X, Airtec twin pass intercooler, JAMsport plenum, some nitrous, will make 300bhp when the gas is on. It's such a cool car, it looks like nothing special but goes like stink.

Our Fiesta ST, Cosworth inlet, cams, forged pistons, AP brakes, runs 236bhp on Gotech

My car, Focus RS engine conversion, Gotech MFI Pro, 217bhp, 254lb/ft at 11.5psi (standard FRSs make 212bhp and 229 lb/ft at 13.5psi)

A customer's Escort, 2.1 ZVH, one of our plenums, Gotech, one of our manifolds, is making 270bhp with mroe to come when he's got used to it

Behind mine is ben's Fiesta ST with our stage 2.5 supercharger kit, cosworth inlet, 200 spec cams, full exhaust system with milltek 4-1 manifold, custom dreamscience tune, was making 265bhp at 8psi, now has 11psi and is over 300bhp

Then in the tent is a customer's Series 1 RST, stunning car, it's absolutely spotless, engine is basically standard bar an exhaust and gotech management, runs 212bhp.

The rest of the pics

Other than the weather, it was a really good day out.

Did anyone on here go?

yeah cars look lovely; out of interest, what is it with those st 170 heads? I hear of them being used a lot in high power applications; have they just got good flow capabilities or something?

Yeah, the inlet ports flow about 5% more air than the Focus RS head as the valves are bigger.

When they're ported, you end up with a bigger gain than you would with a Focus RS head as the valves allow it to flow 183 CFM on the inlet and 138CFM on the exhaust, as opposed to 158CFM and 125CFM on the Focus head (might not mean a lot, but the bigger number is better )

Yeah, loads of people. It's his car though, he likes it, it's bloody quick and that's all that matters really.
