Organised a mini RR at Peugeot Ecosse today, good turn out and a nice mix of cars. The results were....

Dennis.

He put it back together for today...clutch was slipping then head gasket went, he got it home only the gasket and exhaust valve away so hes quite happy the pistons are still alive. Thats a scary little car.

Funny coincidence - I was helping prep a car for our trip to the Ring today in Cockenzie and there is a wee Mini garage there next to the unit we are using and a few of the minis that were at the RR day came back there namely the owner of the place who drives this:-



and the owner of this was telling me about the 330bhp one that died. Sounded impressive!



Was also a white clubman that was towed back to the place, they were working on it whilst I tried not to soak them with a pressure washer.

Simon, yeah his minis are great. Felipe (Scott)s car is soo nice too.

Yeah the woody estate, he was down from aberdeen and head gasket went this side of the forth road bridge. Gutted he missed it as its a minter too!

I'm going in a Mk2 Golf GTi, thats back in town here at the moment and needing some work. The car in Cockenzie is another Mk2 Golf GTi which we are changing the engine on and preping up. There is a Mk5 GTi going too and this Mk1 GTi:-
