Just before I go out to buy a new one, is there anywa of cleaning them?

The claybar I have is filthy

Nah think once its saturated with dirt you chuck it & replace

Could try sticking it in the washing machine at a 40 DEG Med cycle

wash it under hot water stil it gets soft, keep stretching it and moving it round in your hands, this will remove all the dirt in the bar. and you will notice the clay is considerably cleaner

Personally, I would chuck it straight after using it once.

you can fold it, but once its diry, buy a new one

They cant be re-used. Once dirty throw them away. A good tip to making them last though, is to get some Tar and Glue remover to get rid of most of the tar etc in the first place.

Far far cheaper alternative!!

What the fuck you do know you can clean them off and reuse them?|

Was still using the same bit of clay I have been susing for over a year and a half and only just spashed out on some Sonus green clay.

snap, iv used it about 5-6times, stil just as clean as it was after the 2nd go.

Awaits some detailer to come on and throw facts at me as to why i should throw a prefectly good clay bar away after every use

i think he was referring to the post i made about dropping it on the floor. it does say to throw it away if you drop it on the floor on the instructions anyway.

corsa-dan was referring to your post yes, and i agree if i droped it in aloud of stones gravel yes, but just just from contamination dirt in the paint!
