While the attractiveness of a female can differ widely depending on the observer, we shall assume for this theory that the attractiveness of the the female test subjects has been determined by an impartial, typical, straight male of age 21-25.

Taking three test subjects, one of whom is rated as being 0.9 in the attractiveness scale (popularly known as the Hefner Scale), the second being 0.5 and the last being 0.0 (known commonly as a "dug"). The introduction of cleavage to subject A raises her attractiveness by a negligable amount, resulting in an attractiveness rating of 0.981, for subject B it raises it to 0.625 and for subject C ir remains at 0.0.

An additional subject D was added with an initial attractiveness rating of 0.8. The addition of cleavage raised this to 0.928.

The Cleavage Multiplier Formula provides a means of calculating the benefit the addition of cleavage brings for women based on their initial attractiveness rating. The formula can be expressed as:

(((-((((AR*2)-1))^2)+2)/4)+0.75) where AR is the attractiveness rating.

This produces a graph as shown in Fig. 1 (see attached file). As the reader will note, the benefits of cleavage peak for a woman of average attractiveness, but for women at either end of the scale, the effect is negligable. Cleavage cannot enhance what is not there, nor what is already close to perfection.

Figure 2 provides a graph showing the resulting attractiveness rating when the cleavage multiplier is applied. While largley linear, offering a boost for those in the middle of the range, there is a noteable flattening off at the far end of the scale.

In conclusion, cleavage is most effective for women who are already mildly attractive while offering little or no enhancement to those women who are already stunningly beautiful. Similarly, cleavage cannot create attractiveness where none exists.

Graphs can be manipulated to show whatever you want them to.
