so what kind of backbox is used? like a normal one with the tip bent downwards or something? or a "performance" one set back a bit?

Performance back box, with a bent down tail pipe is what I've used:

Depends what you want your exhaust to sound like, if you want the noise of a zooster like the channel tunnel then NO!

If you want a quiet burble or along those lines then yes its fine, its much quiter than my old dual 3.5" Scorpion one anyways!

yeah i like burbles...

ive got a decat on a standard system (cheapest way to fix a decomposing cat...(yes it did smell )) and it didnt make it any louder.
