I posted about these a while back, im trying to convince myself not to get a diesel even though they are powerful one's. I know that Ive asked for opinions on these in the past but would members of CS use there own money to buy one and IF NOT what would you get for the same price and why ?
BTW Im looking at the mk1 octavia VRS and fabia VRS

also take into account the up and coming tax bands
400 quid for the octy soon opposed to 120 or whatever it is for the fabia

Seriously though depends what you want from a car. Do you do long distance and silly miles every week? Do you have kids? etc

neither silly miles or kids has any bearing or implication on paying stupid tax figures, insurance and mpg to justify a very minor performance advantage that would be gone anyway if you remapped the fabia

Well it would because if he did 100 miles a week, buying a derv burner wouldnt be benifical to him. If he had 3 kids a needed boot space for prams....you cant get much bigger than a octavia. And if he is 35, insurance will be minimal anyways.
