How many people on here have had a tyre burst after hitting a pothole on a major route, last night at 2am in the middle of nowhere my tyre burst and melted all over my new speedlines , hope to hell there is no damage to the wheel, could I claim money from the council if I got a photo?

my dad claimed. took ages...

you need a photo of the pothole with a newspaper front page in view to proe it was taken then. you also need to get a photo of where it actually is.

threaten them with court if they won't pay up and they will soon change their minds, as it's their own fault their is a pothole. we pay road tax for decent roads,

My mate and his dad were out on the bikes one day, they went round a corner and my mate went over a hole in the road and come off, bike was badly damaged and he broke his collar bone. They went back the next day and took photos of they road and the bike and took them to the council, he sued the council and got a nice pay out, so its worth a try.

You don't even know the meaning of awful roads until you have driven through Slovakia where they have monster pot holes in the motorway and roads so flooded you think they are rivers.

I was in the same boat - hit a pot hole and burst a brand new tyre

Took photos, filled out two forms and about a month later the councils insurance sent me a cheque

Worth getting on at them
