ps. CTR's are ok, I know of one with a Jackson Racing SC that reels in all the scoobs & evos on track, even in the wet!

I suppose it's down to personal taste mate. You can't argue that the clio is a better drivers car though.

Your probably right but for what I want in my next car the CTR is still ticking more boxes as its a bit more comfy and hopefully has jap reliability. Also the extra space inside over the clio will be nice

I will say that for them the seating position was pretty spot on and there's always the niggling reliabilty issue compared with the 182.

although with the 182 I was very impressed with how well put together it felt. Although my only other experiance of a french car is saxos

Havent really heard any horror stories relating to 182's saying that though.

I think the main thing with the clio is that as I am a tall person I found it a little small inside and the wheel was a bit big and at a funny angle for my liking

Fuck off

Every car youve drove you've came back to say its shit. Then some you change your mind on months later & say its amazing!

1st Impreza's acceleration disappointed you. Now there the best thing sinse sliced mighty white.

106 was rubbish.....................but now its ok

VRS was lame...............but not as bad as a CTR.

etc

etc

etc

Your far too critical & generally talk shite.

There you go........yes its a car forum, dont take it to heart.

Colin I like the CTR's. My mate had one and I thought it was a good all rounder.

i personally love them, ok so vtec isnt as easily avalible or noticable as a turbo but the all round package is very good and it ticks all the right boxes to be a good hot hatch.

could say the 172 cup/182 is better and you could be right but people wouldnt be crazy to choose the type r either due to more room, extra gear and the awsome gearbox.

fact is you own a fettled scooby, so nearly allstandard modern day hatches will probably feel like a compromise

lastly if you wonder where all the type r hype comes from then try and grab your hands on an accord type r or dc2 itr, point to point probably no faster than an ep3 type r but certainly more fun and involving

Never said that about my first scooby. It was fully decatted and rapid as fuk.

106 had a problem that was never sorted and that annoyed the hell out of me.

VRS was a nice car but not exciting enough. And yes i'd have one over a CTR.

Anything else?? A lot of shite gets spoken on here but at least i've actually HAD/DRIVEN the cars i slate or approve of.And less of the language.

As I've said before I wouldn't swap mine for anything else in the price bracket, if you didn't enjoy your test drive fair enough they aren't for everyone.
