Got NICEIC Assesments coming up and i'm the Qualified Superviser - i've gotta take the assessor round the sites and go through the tests with him.
Anyone else the QS for their company?

Is that the new NVQ? When I did my Part 2 in 2000 it was the 2360... I since got my 2391 too which is tough as....
This NICEIC stuff is tough though - the onus is all on me to make sure everyone gets stuff right, from making sure test instruments are sound to sample testing all the sparkies site work, i'm hoping it dont strain relationships at work.

Ah it'll be alright mate, Principles is ok - just get your head in the regs book and On Site guide is a good one to revise from too.

It's more to do with the calculations
f=ma, f=mg, v=ir is all fine
(2π meant to be pie - but its not coming up properly)
struggle with these tho
XL = 2πfL
XC = 1 / (2πfC)
and the one with mutual inductance (henry)
thats the only ones i can remember off the top of my head.

If you are testing other peoples work, and the work doesn't 'pass' you will invariably piss people off.
It's called being in 'management'...the tests are a piece of piss, delivering the failure results to the employees is the difficult bit. If you discuss the results and remedial action sensibly with the blokes on site all will be well
