it might be a case of next year buying a runabout with cheap tax, and keeping my car off the road in the winter and just taxing it for the summer.

keep the car better, keep the miles down on it, and save the £300 a month on fuel

TBF so it should double! I check the price of tax on a range rover, and it were £205 for 12 months. My dad drives a 1.6 fiat and pays £190.

Whats that about?

winter fucks everything up though, been a hard winter on my car. its destoyed the boot and bonnet, and also my wheels are now chipping because of a mixture of road salt and not a lot of layers of paint on the wheels.

like you say, salt, its always pissing down, cant enjoy my car in the winter. less miles to wear out 20" tyres, less fuel, less tax, cheaper insurance, less chips n general shite on the car. i'll need to get a corsa b and make it look nice
