I understand calibra (2.0) brake set up fit on without any modifications, just straight swop?

But do the V6's do they same? Do you need bigger mastercylinder?

What do they both perform like? Do they just lock up?

Any info helpfull!

standard master cylinder will be fine, you would need braided lines ideally, and you nee dto redrill the discs to 4 stud

for a 'full' pedal using v6 calipers, you need a master cylinder which displaces more fluid.

i disagree too....

if you use the Cav/Calibra calipers, they have a smaller slave cylinder & should feel better at the brake pedal than the Vectra V6 calipers, which have a bigger slave cylinder.

also, no need for expensive 4 stud v6 disk's or drilling 5 stud ones,

use a set of fiat 20vT disk's and just file the hole's 1mm bigger as the pcd is 98, as apposed to the 100 for vaux

having had v6, 2.0 gte ones and reyland 4 pots on my old corsa the 2.0 ones had the best pedal feel...

the reylands were great but there were overkill for both the car and my wallet...

the v6 ones were good the pedal was very spongy... even with braided lines..

The brakes on the 1.6 sport are pretty good as standard, but they fade quickly when put under load, i.e. fast roads over the mountains, country roads etc, thats why I upgraded to V6's.

I picked up some 2.0 brakes for mine for £40 quid last year including everything. definately a good upgrade to consider. especially if you need new discs and pads anyway
