Its 99% kettling then, Limescale forms more in hard water areas and clogs the heat exchanger up in the boiler, thus reducing its water volume

cause theres less water in there to heat up it heats up quicker

( much like your kettle that boils water quicker if there is less water in it )

the same happens in the pipes so thats the noise your getting in the loft,

adding some descaling fluid and then some system restorer, giving ity a flush then adding inhibitor will sort it out
