That's the first thing I thought of when I started reading it. Microwaves are designed to do just that, heat food up from the inside. 25 years isn't enough for that being.

yeh, this is what makes me think perhaps they've missed something with that kid

but if it's burning on the outside, it'd be far worse internally...
Plus the vibrating liquid in the organs surely would've fucked things up...
Wouldn't be surprised if the girl ends up dying, diseased or organ failure when young.

to be fair he should of just said he had got the baby out of the bath, but hadn't any clean towels
so just put the baby in the microwave on low setting.
