just wondered if anybody with tinted rear lights has had any trouble from the boys in blue about them??
i used my mates spray to take the shine off mine the other week but left the reflector untouched. but lately im seeing loads of pics with a pretty much mirror black finish and no reflector, which i think looks good but didnt think you could get away with it??

They have to have the reflector to be untouched by tint to be road legal and obviously visable etc, a car will fail the MOT for an obscured/missing reflector.

My Irmy's are smoked and i have reflectors to put on for them, but they are just in my glove box.
Therefore should fail an MOT?

^ correct.
also unless the lights are clearly visible they are not legal.
ive seen some rediciously tinted lights, didnt even know when they were braking.

i suppose it depends on where you go haimsey, wether their gona be that fussy or not. to be honest i doubt many people know with the irmy's but with a self tinted set think it would be more obvious to an mot tester

I guess its true what you say about self-tinted ones.
Ive passed 3 MOT's with the Irmy's on and no reflectors

As long as the reflectors are in place for the MOT

its the same as having tinted front windows mate.
could get away with it for years, or get caught after one day.
just depends how dark they are/how bored the police are

Followed by "your car sits low, youve lowered it havnt you?" I replied "yes, i think so.
