Just got a GSi breaker but has L10 JAY number plate. How do I know if I can transfer it as I have a Jaymie that intrested in buying it

Iirc you need the logbook as its says on the first page.

You need the v5 plus the car must be mot'd

u can transfer it with out it being mot`d i think but ring teh dvla and they will tell you.

look on there web site for a number!

Have to write in(how old fashioned) and ask.

No way its ever going to get another MOT and so no tax.

Ive done it in the past and the car had to be motd

If you put it on retention instead of transfering it onto another car then I think the car doesnt need to have an MOT. All you do then is sign the plate over to the person that wants it

The car still needs an mot if you want to take the plate off though,weather it be to transfer or to be put on retention
