Got a Clifford CAT 1 on mine, nice alarm. £300 fitted. Stay away from cheap alarms. Not worth it, don't skimp on car security.

Get a second hand clifford G5 from ebay, I managed to get a brand new one from ebay and fitted it in every corsa I've owned so far.
Very easy to fit. On my last corsa fitted it with remote boot release. And I actually have a brand new remote start unit for a clifford G4/G5 in my garage, yours for £20 delivered if you want.
You can get all the wiring diagrams easily enough from the internet!

I would have supported this a few years back, but nowadays if a car alarm goes off, no one cares, its just irritating noise to them.
If someone sees something in the car they want, they will break the window and take it, a noisy car alarm isnt going to stop them.
If they want the car that badly, they will load it up, take it to a remote location and strip it for the bits/ ring it and change VIN plates etc.

Oh yeah I agree, I was talking about the immobilisation/car alarm, rather than just a siren.

Toad ai606 has an immobiliser
And get a tilt sensor, the alarm goes off if they try loading on a low loader truck etc
Mine has a proximity sensor and if anyone walks close to it it goes off

immobiliser wise, the key transponder chip and the steering lock are enough to prevent theft. The only thing is with the alarms, alot of them can drain the battery flat and you might aswell have no alarm.
I would go for an alarm, but nothing fancy or ridiculously expensive!
