I owned an Astra GSi for a year and did under 4k miles in it, found it a bit boring going from an XE Corsa, comfy and nice to drive but wasnt that inspiring.
At the end of the day its all about what floats your boat.

what fadders said.
I think ideally having 2 cars is the idea. A noisy hard suspension no frills weekend toy, and a sensible everyday refined car. However this is not really practical for most
I used to have a c20let corsa and a merc c240 to pootle day to day. It was an awesome combo tbh

I'd like something similar to this, depends what insurance comes up as on an XE.

not doing anything except a new set of wheels and thats only because I'll have a summer and winter set of tyres!
TBH I'll put up with the A3, its a good all round car; took 5 packs of 3m long floor boards today - Corsa wouldn't have done that
but I might have to get myself somehting for the weekends; 4 wheels or 2 but it'll have a bike engine and NO power steering

Any pics of it?
I really like the A3/A4s
I quite fancy one as my next car, but i would be leaving a small vauxhall too, so dont want to be disappointed
