Its shite. I done the Kwik Fit apprentice ship for 4 months and got sick of it.

Firstly, You go to the interveiws, Piss easy then get called to another interview if you pass the first.

If you are picked, Then you attent a week long induction in Loughborough with the rest of the UK Kwik Fit Apprentices. You are made to get up at 6:30am every morning and go get breakfast, Then go to different classes and lectures. To cut along story short, Its shite and so depressing its unreal.

Be warned, 50% of the boys there arent there through choice but forced by job centre, agencys etc. and are retarded that play jungle music til 6am in the morning and set off fire alarms. That whole week is pure pish and full of cunts.

The garage isnt so bad, But its the same shitty jobs you do day in day out, Changing tyres is boring and you will do this for the first year and a half.

Then you go to Edinburgh training college once every few months for a week, Again, Like the army and treated like shite.

Im not even gonna go on further but, If you have any self respect or dreams then dont do it. Its shite job, shite money, boring job to do and most likely no career path worth chasing.

I was on roughly £390 a month at 17 years old, left there and 2 weeks later i was earning £1100 a month.

DONT DO IT, ITS SHIT.

If you have any questions then u2u me or ask me here but i hnoestly wouldnt encourage anyone to work for them let alone get paid next to nothing for an apprentice-shit.

I dont believe a Trainee QS not even qualified to HNC level would be on 30k. Ive worked in that industry, never heard of any trainees on that.

well he is Col . Works for Wates which is a private company rather that a massive PLC etc

I tend to find private comapnies sort you out better.

QS's down here get payed bucks . As there arent enough of them so they can charge what they want basically. Up to 60-80k is the norm

I worked as a Junior QS for a good while. My boss was barely scraping 35k as senior Surveyor. All the house builders paid roughly the same, most being natiional companies. To get the 60-80k you talk off youd need to go to to Dubai to work. That was only 2yrs ago & I cant see it changing that much. Look at a job site to see what junior surveyors make, i'll eat my laptop if its 30k unqualified!

10 years experience

Once you have your degree you have to give 2 years of further learning. Then you can take your compenancy test/interview for becoming chartered
