yup... the garage the we used to have the GTR in was broken into. (the car was getting work done at a garage though) Nothing was taken exept a battery charger. There was 1000's worth of wheels/tyres/parts and tools in there...

Impreza was targeted 3 times.... but something says it wasnt the same folk. They failed to even get into the car... they just dented the doors, roof, bust a lock and got the bonnet open. That had a good alarm and in the end proximity sensors etc.

If they left the wheels & tools it sounds like they didnt find what they were looking for! If it was kids on the steal they would have taken anything they could....wheels & tools facinate kids, they would have had them off without a doubt!! Did you not find the 911 with the door open one morning also. Think I remember Adam saying a while ago. Seems all a bit too coincidental. Have any other cars in your Area (Edin address) been nicked/tampered with? It just seems too much too often.

With the Impreza they were maybe spooked by the alarm it had if it was a good one, bonnet up shows theyve at least had a good look. Damage could be their way of being pissed off at not getting what they came for. Whoevers done this is an old skool car theif. Most will just break into your house these days, find the keys & drive off like its theirs before even attempting to consider getting through locks, alarms & immobilisers.

A pal of my dads had 5 cars stolen in the late 80's / early 90's. All from outside his house, all decent nice cars - Escort RS, 205 GTi's & the like (when new) all thefts looked to be connected in some way. He once had 2 of the alloy wheels taken from a car, neighbour disturbed them, got new wheels through insurance with locking nuts fitted, next again week they returned obviously for more wheels, took the car because they couldnt get the wheels off, smashed the rear window, took the full size spare & stuck the car in the canal. It just seemed like the same group of folk every time & they knew there would be a nice car sitting for them.

I dont know what to think about this now! Shame the police arnt interested! :\

911 was in Aberdeen right outside the house... I think that was just Fee being drunk

Nothing was taken, the door was just open. Bizzare

Ah right different city

Im not trying to spook you's by the way, just seems coincidence all thats went on looking at it from an outsider. Ive never had a car tampered with & id say my areas worse than leith. Maybe its because none of my cars have been worth nicking!!

Thats a bit shit about the plate :/

I had the same problems when my car was stolen, you need to keep on at them constantly to get them to do anything, they really are a waste of time

Hope you get some news on the car soon.

It was not me being drunk!

How would the door just open by itself?!?!

I don't think it is coincidence....I think the car was seen when Adam has been out in Edinburgh and they knew where it 'could' be from the past and have just chanced their luck with it being parked in the same place.

just keep on at the police constantly, best thing to do as they will put more effort in eventually if they want you off their backs.

never thought about the plate situation before. Bit of a rubbish situation really

Best of luck with the whole thing

I remember reading that somewhere, god knows where/when.

Its worth a try to claim it, though dont be surprised if they decline!

i said it a while back

pay extra to insure the plate
