I believe the real reason this place is becomming popular is due to the real economy...
Every $150 you make in game is ~ $1 in reality!
Plus you can create anything you like, with objects + scripting. Every object in game is user made.
Thus people started selling them = making money.
The suckers are the people who actually play the game  not the people trying to make money out of it.
About a year / 6 months ago, me and my uni mate had a go at trying to make money. What interested me was this...
I looked into making casino games, and got a few suckers to play my stupidly rigged game which would let them win when they bet small, but rip them off if they bet big
Then my last idea was some dog track where I was gonna make a book makers etc, on dog racing - let people bet against each other and rake the profits.
But I couldn't be arsed as the game is full of complete losers! People literally sit in there all the time, doing nothing but 'talking to their mates' and stuff!
Everyone in there doesn't realise what gimps they are, and they don't like being told it!
