'up to £25,000' I bet most of those guys only earn about £10-£15k a year if that. Plus will suffer with back problems for years...

its not 74 its 62! and 74 isn't that much. People work far more; I used to do at least 60 hours per week running a restaurant/bar and then used to teach sailing/windsurfing three day times a week for 6.5hrs per day as well, so was doing at least 79.5hrs per week.

Best thing about working like that is you don't have chance to spend anything so you save a fortune

60 hours a week is not a great deal and TBH i bet they do not earn 25k - thats more than the national average wage

Also how are they paid - hope they pay tax, NI etc

Should stop benefits full stop

That would get all the laxy fuckers working and shut the gate and let no more in as we are full

I reckon they'd do closer to a 35 hour week...

roughly 7 hours a day. £7 an hour

Over a year... £12740 ... then minus taxes if those cunts pay it

Not quite 25k tbf... but yeh if you say they spend their life there doing constant overtime then they can earn UP TO 25k.

Im going to get her a little dog for company while im away

I'll be doing 2 weeks working (82hrs a week - 7x12hr shifts) followed by 3 weeks off. So technically only working 5 months a year, 7 months off.

And coming home smelly oh so sweet

Sounds like you've got yourself set up there Colin, I'd be happy doing that.

Although I quite enjoy my job as it is, paid 35 hours a week, I'll be unlucky if I do 20 of them

My basic hours a week are 54 but never do less than 60... The only good thing is I manage to save a lot because i never get a chance to spend it..

A lot of farming knowledge in this thread!

When a crop is in season, you will work many more than 35 hours in a week harvesting it. I've been out until 1am before now helping mates out and public complaining was the biggest reason work stopped, not wanting to work hard.

If labourers are able to move around and find different crops throughout the season, they could quite legitimately earn a few thousand pound a month no bother. That could equate to £25k py even if they didn't work out of season.

If the doleite lazy ass locals "don't want to work in like no cornfield" then it's a good thing there are willing, hardworking people able to do proper manual work. Foreign productivity is about the only thing that keeps farming profitable by the time supermarkets have squeezed the margins down to breaking point.
