try and look up the top gear review when they had the vxr, r26 and golf gti.
and you can see see for yourself the r26 won

The Golf GTi won on the merits it was the most accomplished car.
Topgear havent tested an R26 just the older 225.

I think there a good car but the stickers look g@sh! It got a good review in "track and race cars" mag a month ago. But would defo choose a VXR over one... again personal preference.
