She has a Yaris S 1.0 16v at the moment. Shes had it 8 years and the only thing thats happened in that time is the exhaust baffles have become loose and it now rattles. The car is currently worth 1200
We've looked at Fiat Puntos, which she didn't like. The new Yaris, which she does, will be a higher spec but most probably still a 1.0, most likely at GS trim level.
Also looked at the Mazda 2 which comes in a 1.3 16v 68ps and 86ps. The more powerful one is the same price as the Yaris! Plus I think it looks better inside, Yaris still looks a bit cheap.
Price is just short of 10k for the Mazda 2 1.3 TS
Just wondered which people prefer?

Yaris, purely because I have experience of one - as a courtesy car
The 1.0 12v engine isn't too bad, and for a car which feels like it weighs a lot, it was quicker than Corsa 12v.
The only thing that is REALLY annoying is the dash, which is off centre. Your speed also continual fluctuates. Really hard to keep it constant.
Didn't like the deep dash however but every new car is like that.

I like both of those. Good little run around cars.
Think I'd go for the Mazda, looks funky
