Opportunity has come at work to apply for the following job. I have had my name put forward by 2 people I work with but I hate it when they ask for my expected salary if I get the job (always been told the ££ beforehand)
Here goes:

Managing the full project lifecycle of technology projects from understanding demands of the business and business partners to gathering proposals and executing industry leading solutions 2. Manage, maintain and support Europe wide telecommunications infrastructure
Working with internal and external suppliers the ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of CISCO networks, experience of pricing/budget management and an in depth understanding of cutting edge and legacy telecommunications technology.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of telecommunications services to the European region, both internally and externally
Analyse user requirements, design facilities, evaluate options and recommend solutions
Manage telecommunication service offerings including product pricing, definition of annual budgets and P&L tracking
Manage project implementations of new system and facilities
Monitor and analyse network performance, ensuring operational efficiency and maintenance of capacity
Create, operate and maintain a reliable and highly functional telecommunications infrastructure while continously reducing the total cost of ownership
Provide technical support and liaise with end user support
Qualifications
Graduate in an IT related subject or similar qualification
Working experience and a detailed knowledge of communications technology including WAN, LAN and Voice applications
Cisco or similar certifications would be beneficial
CCNA Network Associate (install, configure, operate, troubleshoot)
CCDA Design Associate (design infrastructure and services)ood project management, inter-personal and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Fluent in written and spoken English and German
Prepared to travel frequently within the European region (approx. 15% of time)

Get to work at the same place I do now, work from home more, and travel more. Company card, blackberry, laptop etc as normal, all expenses paid for when travelling and bonuses based on performance too
I am 24 years old, have worked for the company for 2.5 years now and also did a 1 year placement here as a student. currently do site project management/IT stuff/security etc

sounds like a project / programme manager role....
London based role would attract upwards of £35k depending on size of projects and company.

I need a new designer job i'm only on 18k here at the moment and i really can't see it going up much higher in my next review.
IDeally want to get freelance work, big risk though with no steady income etc

yes but they asking for CCNA and CCNP, someone who can design and implement networks properly. If I had them sort of exams under my belt (along with my experience) I'd be asking a minimum of 30k anywhere I go.
