Should i be worried about the high miles if it's be serviced right and how easy is it to put the 1.8 turbo engine out of an audi a3 in it?

Depends if your talking 8v or 16v really.

The AGG (8v) is bulletproof generally speaking - mine has 106k on it and it feels like new (but it has been looked after)

the ABF (16v) is good as well im lead to believe - although i dont have any experience personally to back it up.

The 1.8T in various forms is not to bad to fit.
It will go in on the standard mounts if you use the stock K03 or K04 turbo.
If you plan to upgrade custom mounts will be needed to move the engine as there will not be enough room.

The other thing to remember is that the 16v has a hydrolic (sp) clutch, so it makes the 1.8t easier.

The 8v is cable and you would need a passat (or similar) pedal box to fit it.

Hope this helps.
