ok a mate of mine has a 1.2 swing will full sri inerior and a gsi engine in it, lowered back box you know the type. because some one bent the door back he wants to get rid of it how it stand now he says i can have the whole car for 350 includen the engine which i would put in my sri but im not too sure because i would not tell my insurance about it. im think of just offering him money for the engine and then stripping the car selling all the bits then scrapping it. what you opions? and also would any one be interested in car parts? everythin there except engine and racing steering wheel but can get hold of standard one.

why would you not tell the insurance
i would have it and strip it if i were you would should make that back in parts

because im 18 and my insurance would go sky high. but if i did strip it you know any one who would be interested in parts?

Im looking to pay a fortune for taxi insurance at 21, its like me insuring my car normally and still using it as a taxi would save me ££££s!!

what they dont know wouldent hurt em. but i am really iffy about putting the engine in. so thats why i was wondering if i could just split it for parts and onli put a head on it that way i dont worry asmuch

i reckon theres about 10% of xe owners on here that have done it and i bet only 2% would admit it
the reason why ppl are bothered is that it puts up premiums for people that have valid insurance
