Roughly £600 + test fees

Edit: For a complete beginner anyway, this is including CBT

My ears bled when I got home

Yeh that was that night when the KA pulled out on the clio... gangfight in the road!

No affence

I had one of them too Great work hack. Armchair comfy, backrest, big boot on the bastid. The pic below, you can see the backrest, that could be raised up another 4-5" and it was soooooooo comfortable. Most comfy 2 wheeled bike i've been on i'd say

Got so rotten, the spark plug lead would snap and i'd tape it back together with some insulation tape, till it snapped again. Got very rotten that bike after using it all winter (Salt EATS bikes). Peice of crap, but served me well and muchos cheap commuting. 125cc of muscle.

Used to sit right up the arse of coaches on the A2 to give me some slipstream. I'd get another 5mph It would sit at a shown 70 instead of 65 Happy days. And it was purple

Then i got a full license and got another scooter (very cheap for commuting on hence the purchase, but a wasted time, peice of crap, electrics were sh1te, lights stopped working, dash lights stopped etc, mind you, i did run someone over and break their ribs on it ). Got rammed off it too by some chav I never caught It got abused like a cheap hooker. Went quite well though for a scooter.

Then I woke up and went and started buying bikes instead of poncy scooters.

One thing I found though was that you get treated like a 16yo chavvy and get absolutly no respect on the road from anyone

But for cheap motoring and transport, you really cannot beat a scooter. F-all fuel, f-all oil, £25 tax odd for the year (or £15?), servicing done at home (need an airgun for belt changes). Start it, twist throttle, off you go....

Onto this now, just need a new exhaust and shes sorted.

I always hated scooters but got a new job where I had to do shift work and couldn't rely on public transport so I got one.
It's a 4 stroke 50cc chinese import. Not the greatest thing in the world but I haven't had any real problems with it and it was only £615 brand new (once I'd registered and taxed it.) It does the job, costs about £3.50 a week in petrol and now its bedded itself in a bit it quite happily sits at about 45 my whole ride to work. It's quite good fun but you get zero respect from drivers. I do think that having owned will make me a better driver when I get round to getting a car just because you have to be so much more aware of everything thats going on

That was scary, I was locked up going between them both

Conway, I feel it does make you a better driver. I felt so much more confident on the road in a car after riding peds/bikes for 2 years previously. On my driving lessons all I had to do was learn to drive the car, not have to worry about learning the road signs etc so I passed very quickly.

Yeah, it doesn't improve your car driving skills, but it vastly improves your awareness of whats around you. You can see things happening and thats what makes you a better driver.

Non biker owners won't understand this, but its very true.
