Today I was parked on a main road at the side. Looked in rear view and started reversing and some old bloke came around the corner and staright into the space behind me and went into the back of my car.
He was driving way to quickly, he braked and the collision was a very slow one below 5mph. I got out and so did my girlfriend, we said it was his fault and he didn't say too much. Some old woman walking past said it was his fault too, then walked off. I chased down the road and she then said she only heard it and didnt see it!
Anyways, no damage to my car (good old towbar) but he had a cracked numberplate. I explained that we could argue all day about it, and if we went through insurance its so much more hassle than its worth. I offered to buy him a new numberplate. He accepted. I gave him #20 quid and he gave me #10 back (obviously felt 10 was enough)
I took his car details and numberplate but he didnt bother taking mine. Do I need to do anything else??

Should have took his current insurer, but by the sounds of things i doubt you will hear any more of it.
Allthough i never admit fault, some twat tried that to me in my first year of driving, he was racing, i wasnt and he came into the side of me - tried saying i should have pulled back, as soon as i mentioned calling the police and took his details he got his wallet out

S@M, because as far as I'm aware, even with a accident regardless of fault, it does affect your insurance premium!

Insurance would probably tell both of you to gtf for a numberplate anyway. Most excesses and shit like that are £150+ anyway
