Got a phone call off my mum & dad today telling me that our Oldest Dog has had to be put down. I grew up with her, 15 years of fun and happiness. Not seen her since Christmas due to being at Uni
She was closest to me & my mum. So I feel really shit knowing that I've gotta go home at easter and she wont be there.

It just feels even more shit that I didnt get to say goodbye. Last time i saw her she was a lazy old dog, happy and content by the fire at christmas.

old age. She was a mungrel so laster longer than a lot of dogs, apparently she hadnt moved out her bed the last 3 days, just lay there, our other dog slept in the same bed as her last night, dogs apparently can sense when something is wrong?? I dunno lol.
my parents made the decision this morning.

Aww man.
We have two old dogs. Both starting to show their ages now. One 15 and the other is 18 almost. They will be sadly missed when they go!
We had my nans dog too. He had to be put down a few months bad. Poor bugger went blind

I don't think she was suffering to be honest, from what my mum said. she just couldn't be arsed to do anything, she would of suffered if she was left like it though.

I spose you forget the fact they don't live as long as us when your that used to em being around. She was like part of the furniture.
Its been on the cards for a while though, my mum made the decision to get another dog a while back so when the day came she wasn't going to be left without a dog.
my parents couldn't face bringing her home to bury her, so that it.

So sorry.
Had to bury Charlie, our black Labrador in October '06.
Poor little sod deserved much longer to enjoy himself.
Fucking scarred me and still chokes me now.

my parents didn't have it in her to bring her home so left her there to be cremated. would of loved her to be buried where she spent many a day lying in the morning sunshine.
