whatcha reckon? firstly, can anyone tell me if the golf anniversary has the same engine as the normal GTi? i think its just the looks that is different? also with the focus, i would only want the Recaro interior edition as... well you know how it is, just want something a bit special seeing as though theres so many on the roads. the astra would probably be my last choice as it aint that fast or special, but, sometimes good deals do come about

Bit of a varied price bracket you have there tbh, goes from about 8/9k down to about 4k.
How much do you want to spend? Is insurance an issue?

I voted for the Golf. Looks smart, well built, not bad speed. I reckon it'd be the nicest car to live with on a day to day basis.

Anni from that list, or a focus RS if you can find another couple grand.

I'd never have a 2.2 Vauxhall. Engine's are shockingly bad. The boys on Z22SE.com seem to be having endless problems with them, some of which Vx don't recognise under warranty.
The other options look good though

185bhp, 0-60 in 5.7. prices range from £6000-£9000, interior has red recaro's, momo steering wheel, titanium gearbox, air con, amazing handling car.

very nice martin but i cant insure a type-r... already tried the normal one let alone an import!
regarding costs i wanna spend around £5k ideally, £6/6.5k absolute max. insurance group 16 absolute max
only thing regarding the anni is that theyre hard to come by... but i dont think i could settle for the normal GTi, just looks too plain!
oh and no way could i afford a focus RS, though id love to!

I think you'd struggle to get an anni for 6500. Decent ones still go for 10k thus why I mentioned Focus RS.
Think I might get an RS next for a bit.

I wouldn't have either of the bottom 2, and I wouldn't spend the extra money on an Anni Golf.
So that leaves the Renault and the SEAT, the Clio has a terrible seating position, so it'd be the Ibiza for me, or a normal Golf 1.8 t, with some of the rest of the money spent on the Anni kit and a remap.
