You get used to it just reverse the times you would for a day shift really. Im constantly swapping and changing between nights and days due to uni, sleep pattern can get fucked but its worth it for the extra money

Just keep your self busy till around 3am, otherwise its like time stops! If i aren't busy i start getting tired and falling asleep.

Like said, at least you have the internet and aren't waiting around for machines to break down like i do when i'm on nights

I just got home from night shift. It's natural now.

Although I never actually work my full shift, I'm still getting paid right now

It's strange somedays though, I'll be tired by 1 some nights and struggle, where as others I'll get home at 6 and not be able to sleep.

Finished my 2nd night of 4 today. Personally prefer the shifts to the normal 9-5.

I hated them when I had to do them, proper fucked me up for a couple of weeks.

I had the luxory of internet access and could even get away with watching a DVD or two if it was quiet, but still it's mind numbingly boring and the sleep pattern royally messed me up

Glad I'm a normal 9-5'er now

Yeah, I hate nights the first one is always the killer. Start at 8pm and fucked by 0230 with another 5.5 hours left

After that, I just change my sleep pattern then it's fine.

Im meant to be starting this week doing night shifts, but got a feeling Im going to tell them to GTF.

Mainly because it'll be constant work from 10-6 rather than sat on my ass watching movies and playing on the net like most of you lot seem to do

i work earlies, nights and lates at ford.

nights is ok, i actually like it (10:30pm-6:30am).

the only crappy shift is the monday night as you get up normal time monday morning, do what you do then you gotta stay awake until 7am tuesday morning.

but after that, it's easy.

i usually get to sleep around 7am and wake up about 3pm so i have a fair amount of sleep, more than i get when i'm on earlies, which is about 4-5 hours.
