In total over the last 18 months and 14k miles weve had.

1.Front brake pads replaced twice due to screeching.
2.Rear brakes seized (required strip down and cleaning)
3.Air bag light actived (Software upgarde)
4.Mileage Flashing (Full ECU software Upgrade)
5.Power Steering Sensor Failure (Replace)
6.Knocking from front wheel (drop link replaced)
7.Recall for knee plate to be fitted
8.Power steerig motor failure
9.Thermosat housing failure
10.Car Failed to start due to battery terminal not connected properly (nearly caused a fire!!)
11.Headlights needed adjusting

Also most of the stuff above needed bits ordering which means a visit to the dealership meaning a day of work ruined or mucking about to get lifts to get to work whilst the problem get dignosed, followed by the same again the following week when the bits are in stock.

So for the above you are talking 17 visits to the dealership, thats one a month!! ( I dont visit my Granny that often!!)

Anybody want to buy it

my mate bought a brand new punto 1.2, has had it just under 2 months now already had -
new rear screen as heating elements broke
aibag light flashes randomly
heater vent fell apart when driving along
self cancel indicators dont self cancel (fiat put a nice big scratch in steering wheel cowling when trying to fix this)
and the engine already sounds like a sewing machine to me.

My milage flashed. It annoyed me so I unplugged the battery for a bit and wiped it's memory. Been fine ever since

Supprising that yours was missing it's knee plate though. Was only the very first ones off of the production line that had that problem.

Oh yea, my indicators stopped cancelling themselves too after leaving the car for 2 months without driving it. That fixed itself today though randomly
