Hi everyone ,

I am devastated, I was going to work on Saturday morning and as some of you may know it had been snowing and was really icey. I was driving down a side street near my home when a man comes the opposite direction up the road and begins sliding towards me. I am going between 2 cars so i have no where to go the next minute the car is onto of my bonnet writing my New integra off .

The man has then got out trying to clain it is a 50/50 accident as we both could not stop due to ice.

I have a witness to say he was going quite quick but wil it be classed as a 50/50 as we met between 2 cars?

I am just looking for sympathy and some advice as i do not want to lose 3 years no claims

if you have a witness who isnt a mate or was in your car then i imagine you could get the insurance company to fight it for you if you tell them. but gutted to here about your car

Yes the witness is a person that lives around the corner, He was going to the shop or something

surely if he was sliding towards you and you could not get out the way then it's his fault?

were you stationary at the time of impact?

Sounds like the guy is going to be an idiot about it so it won't be an easy claim, why can't people just admit when they're in the wrong

the first company i was insured with sent out a little card that you were supposed to keep in your wallet and told you want to do after an accident one of the first bullet points was dont admit liability.

The cars where slightly staggered down the road if you know what i mean . I was already in the gap going through it when he came around the corner. He is being a pain in the arse. He has protected no claims and he is going to claim off his insurance any way so do not see why he cannot just say it was his fault. Badger.

i waqs going between 5-10 mph when he hit me. He pushed me back up the road
